Let's face it, selling your gear online can be frustrating. However, there are three main things to keep in mind to help you sell your gear quickly and easily. Read on to see our three tips for selling your gear online - quickly and easily!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jePel5BqCyw

Tip #1 for selling your gear online: Good Photos

It's no secret that photos can make or break a listing. Having good photos can really set your listing apart from everyone else. Typically, buyers see listings with great photos as being a higher value than a listing with poor photos. You don't need a fancy set up to take good photos, hell you don't even need a dedicated camera. As long as you have good lighting, your phone can take amazing pictures! Set you item up by a window or a lamp if you don't have a way to light your subject. You could even take the photos outside! And If you want to get really fancy with it, you can use your computer monitor to create some really interesting backgrounds!Tips for selling your gear online: Take good photos! If your item has any blemishes or scratches on it, make sure you take good pictures of that as well. This way any potential buyer knows exactly what they are getting. Good, detailed photos go a long way when selling your gear online.

Accurate Description

If you are selling multiple items under one listing, be sure to note what is being sold in the description. You want to make sure your listing is very clear. The last thing you want is to have a frustrated buyer complaining about items they didn't receive. This is another area where you should list any blemishes, scratches, or malfunctions when selling your gear online. Treat buyers how you want to be treated: be honest with them. You never want to try to hide the condition that your gear is in. This never ends well, and you will most likely have to deal with the headache of a return as a resultIf at any point you need help with you listing, feel free to reach out to us here at Gear Focus. We can help get your item sold as quickly and as easily as possible. Feel free to email us at support@gearfocus.com. And be sure to sign up for our free seller training session.

Our final tip for selling your gear online: Fair Price

Before you list your item online, do some market research to see where you should price your item. There have been several times I've gone to list something for $400-500 only to find out that its only worth $100-200. That can be very frustrating, for both the buyer and the seller. A quick Google search will save you a lot of frustration in the end.Camera equipment value depreciates as soon as you leave the store!Another thing to keep in mind when selling your gear online is that even if you bought your item last week and now you don't want it anymore, it is still a used item. Like almost anything else, as soon as the gear is delivered to your house or taken out of the store, it's value decreases. If you are unable to return your item for a full refund, you're likely going to have to list it for at least 15% off of the sticker price.

Now you're ready to sell!

When you break it down, it's really not that difficult selling your gear online. So long as you keep these three things in mind when listing.
