Transitioning between back lens groups doesn't modify the lens' physical length, closest focusing range, or 2.7x zoom ratio. Nonetheless, using the full-frame back lens group rotates the lens from a 15-40mm zoom accommodating Super35 into a 22-60mm zoom suitable for full-frame/VistaVision apertures.

The lens itself comes with three manual lens control rings for focus, iris and zoom. Every ring flaunts cine-style 0.8 MOD gear teeth, facilitating integration with focus-follow units and lens control motors. Its wide 114mm front diameter allows the use of various rod supported matte boxes.

This lens arrives with a PL mount; however, this can be replaced with optionally available (separately sold) E or EF lens mounts.
