This lens, a follow-up to the original Optimo lightweight zooms, delivers the familiar Angenieux look, with a perfect balance of contrast and resolution akin to its peer, the 37-102mm Optimo Ultra Compact lens, the Optimo Ultra 12x zoom, and the Optimo primes.

This PL-mount, 2.7x zoom lens delivers a constant maximum aperture of T2.9, low distortion, and a minimum focus distance of 2', enabling remarkable closeup shots. The lens is equipped with a Cooke /i data connector, has switchable focus marks of feet/meters, and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -4 to 113°F. With a wide barrel rotation of 310°, the Ultra Compact 21-56mm lens ensures precise focus pulls and minimal breathing effect.
