ARRI 35mm Master Prime Lens (PL, Metric Scope)

The ARRI 35mm Master Prime forms part of a 16-piece ARRI/Zeiss bundle renowned for exceptional clarity, superior contrast, negligible breathing, and a swift T1.3 aperture to facilitate attainment of shallow depth of field. Spanning 12mm to 150mm, the Master Primes are acclaimed for their tonality and color precision, resembling Zeiss' signature, and have been colour harmonised across the range. Inside, they have a minimum nine-blade iris for cinematic bokeh with distinct depth of field shifts. A pair of floating elements garners top-tier close-focus performance while mitigating focus breathing. The advanced T*XP coating mitigates reflections and flare-ups while enhancing contrast ratios. The ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes incorporate aspherical components for minimal chromatic fringing, delivering top-grade image quality and flawless chroma-keying. Corner resolution is sustained even at complete aperture opening and at close focus. All lenses have a PL mount and an in-built LDS system for lens data transfer to compatible devices. The enlarged focus scale has ample marking space and features fluorescent notations for easier low-light readability. Metric and feet measurement markings are engraved on the focus ring; technicians can adjust the focus ring orientation from one to the other. This Prime Master 35mm Lens has a minimum focus distance of 14", focus delineation in the metric system, a nominal weight of 4.9 lbs, and an 8" length. In this series, the focus, iris, and zoom rings are uniformly arranged for convenient handling with F/I/Z wireless systems, follow focus, and zoom control. A majority of them, including this 35mm lens, have a standardized 114mm front diameter, which allows for universal matte box adapter, filter usage, etc.
