ARRI 65mm Master Prime Lens (PL)

Part of a distinguished ARRI/Zeiss collection of 16 lenses, the 65mm Master Prime offers superb resolution and high-contrast imaging with minimal focus breathing, paired with the wide T1.3 aperture—ideal for depth-of-field control. Known for their superb skin tone rendition and uniform color output, these lenses are harmonized for color matching. The ARRI Master Primes feature an iris with nine or more round blades to deliver charming bokeh and a smooth focus fall-off. With dual floating elements, these lenses minimize breathing and achieve excellent close-focus performance. The T*XP coating effectively reduces flare and boosts contrast. Comprising aspherical elements, these lenses suppress chromatic aberrations for peak image fidelity, ensuring clear chroma-key compositing. Each lens ensures consistent corner resolution even at wide apertures and close distances and has a PL mount. They come with a Large Diameter Scale (LDS) system for transmitting lens data. The expansive focus scale ensures precise mark setting, and the focus ring offers engravings in meters, adaptable by a technician. The 65mm lens presents a 26" minimum focusing distance, a manageable weight of 5.7 pounds, and a practical length of 8". Engineered for ease with follow focus and F/I/Z wireless systems, most lenses in the set, including the 65mm, feature a standard 114mm front diameter for uniformity in adapters and filters.
