ARRI Master Prime 25mm Lens (PL, Metres)

Part of a set comprising 16 ARRI/Zeiss lenses, the ARRI 25mm Master Prime stands out with high resolution, enhanced contrast, almost non-existent breathing, and a swift T1.3 aperture, enabling a narrow depth of field. The Master Primes, providing a range between 12mm to 150mm, are renowned for their colour portrayal and skin tones, all colour-matched to ensure consistency. Their structure comprises an iris with a minimum of nine blades, offering a cinematic bokeh with distinct focus transition. The lenses promote efficacious close-focus handling by employing two floating elements, thereby dwindling breathing while focusing. The T*XP coating technique employed diminishes glare and reflections whilst elevating contrast. The ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes are built with aspherical elements to minimise chromatic aberration, thereby providing a crisp image quality and frictionless chroma-keying. Even when the lenses are used at their maximum aperture or at close focus, they maintain high resolution at the image corners. Each lens features a PL mount along with an inbuilt LDS system to transfer lens data to compatible cameras. The elaborated focus scale makes room for marks and is graced with fluorescent engravings for easier visibility in dimly lit conditions. The focus ring includes readings in both feet and metres, which can be reversed by a qualified technician. The ARRI 25mm Master Prime Lens implicates a 14-inch minimum focus distance, focus marks in metres, a fairly light weight of 5.1 pounds, and a compact length of 8”. The focus, iris, and zoom rings placement is consistent across the lens family, easing the usage with follow focus, zoom control, and F/I/Z wireless systems. Majority of the lenses in the Master Prime collection, including the 25mm, maintain a consistent 114mm front diameter, facilitating the use of same size matte box adapter, filter, etc.
