The Leica Leitz Cine 135mm T1.4 Summilux-C lens, a member of C.W. Sonderoptic cinema lens collection, excels in performance with its superb optical quality when set to its widest aperture. With a minimum image circle of 33mm, it easily accommodates Super 35 without degradation at the corners. A robust titanium PL mount, precision cam-driven focusing system, and scale measurements in feet characterize this lens. Each lens in the Summilux-C series maintains the T1.4 maximum aperture for reliable exposure consistency. Unique to this model is its T16 minimum aperture, diverging from other lenses in the lineup. Adjusting follow focuses or lens control setups is unnecessary owing to the uniform positioning of geared focus and iris control rings. Its internal focus design eliminates front rotation, ideal for matte box attachment, delivers 300° of focus rotation for precise focus control, and consistently measures focus from 6' to infinity throughout the range. An optional rear net holder supports rear net mounting. Differing slightly, this lens has a larger 116mm front diameter, yet keeps consistent gearing with others in the series, and weighs 7.4 pounds.
