The Panasonic LUMIX FZ70 is a point-and-shoot camera equipped with a 16MP sensor on a 1/2.3-inch chip, processed by Panasonic's Venus Engine. Maximum still resolution reaches 4608x3456 pixels, and burst shooting is available at up to 9 fps. The ISO range runs from 100 to 3200.
For video, the FZ70 captures 1080p footage at 1080/60i, 1080/30p, and 720/60p, all at 8-bit color depth with Standard and Cinema color profiles on offer. The camera's Optical OIS system helps manage camera shake, supplemented by digital IS. Framing is handled via a 3.0-inch, 460,000-dot LCD or a 202,000-dot, 60Hz electronic viewfinder.
