The Angénieux Optimo Anamorphic 42-420mm A2S Zoom Lens, compatible with PL-mount and capable of covering sensor sizes up to 35mm 4-perf, encompasses a 2x anamorphic squeeze and a 10x zoom ratio. This compact and comparatively lightweight lens, ideal for long-range filming, is part of Angénieux's Optimo Anamorphic series and produces the signature Angénieux organic appearance that blends seamlessly with other Angénieux lenses. The lens also includes encoders that offer metadata using the Cooke /i technology. The PL mount lens allows a prompt tech-initiated switch to an optional Panavision mount and is also compatible with both 1.4x and 2x extenders. Features include a 49" close focus distance, extremely low distortion across the focal length spectrum, and sturdy construction apt for a wide temperature range. The Optimo Anamorphic 42-420mm's focus ring has a 320° rotation, allowing for more than 40 detailed witness marks. The focus scale is marked in feet and can be exchanged with marks in meters. The lens has an internal focus design which ensures a constant lens length during focus changes and exhibits no signs of breathing during focus pulls. The 136mm front outside diameter lens is thread designed to accept an optional protective glass element.
