ARRI 16mm Prime Pro Lens (PL, Feet)

ARRI 16mm Prime Pro Lens (PL, Feet)
The 16mm Prime Pro is one product from a collection of 16 manufactured by ARRI/Zeiss that features remarkable resolution, enhanced contrast, minimal breathing, alongside a speedy T1.3 aperture for creating a shallow depth of field. The Master Primes, spanning from 12mm to 150mm, offer the colour representation and skin tones characteristic of Zeiss, and each lens is colour-matched for homogeneity throughout the set. These lenses are designed with an iris of at least nine blades for movie-like bokeh with distinct focus fall-off. Dual floating components assure excellent close-focus performance and minimal breathing while focusing. The innovative T*XP coating diminishes reflections and glare, thereby intensifying contrast. The ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes are constructed with aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration, thereby ensuring optimal image quality and smooth chroma-keying. High resolution is sustained in image corners, even when the lens is used at maximum aperture and for close focusing. Each lens is fitted with a PL mount and has a built-in LDS system for conveying lens information to compatible cameras. The expanded focus scale provides ample room for marks, and it features fluorescent inscriptions for better visibility in low light conditions. The focus ring is marked in both feet and metric; a qualified shop technician can reverse the ring from one to the other. This 16mm Prime Pro Lens offers a 14" minimum focus distance, focus marks set in feet, a relative lightweight design of 4.9 pounds, and a compact length of 8". This lens series provides consistent positioning of focus, iris, and zoom rings for enhanced usability with follow focus, zoom control, and F/I/Z wireless systems. Most lenses in this collection, including the 16mm, have a steady 114mm front diameter, allowing for the use of the same size matte box adapter, filter, etc.
