ARRI 21mm Master Prime Optic (PL, Meters)

The 21mm Master Prime, part of a collection from ARRI/Zeiss comprising of 16 lenses, is renowned for its superior resolution, high contrast, minimal breathing, and a speedy T1.3 aperture to deliver a shallow depth of field. Spanning from 12mm to 150mm, the Master Primes honor the skin tones and color rendition that Zeiss is globally acknowledged for, and are all color matched to ensure consistency. These lenses have an iris with more than nine blades that deliver a cinematic-style bokeh with clearly defined focus fall-off. Dual floating elements guarantee exceptional performance in close-focus while significantly reducing breathing when focusing. The superior T*XP coating minimizes reflections and glare while enhancing contrast. Constructed with aspherical elements to minimize chromatic aberration, the ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes guarantee exceptional image quality and clean chroma-keying. These lenses retain a high resolution even at the image corners when the lens is used at its widest aperture and focused closely. Each lens is crafted with a PL mount and an integrated LDS system for transferring lens data to compatible cameras. The enlarged focus scale has ample space for marks, and it is equipped with fluorescent engravings to aid ease of viewing in low-light settings. The focus ring showcases markings in both feet and meters, and can be transitioned from one to the other by a certified technician. The 21mm Master Prime Lens exhibits a minimum focus distance of 14", focus marks set in meters, a weight of 5.3 pounds, and a compact length of 8". This series of lenses have a consistent arrangement of focus, iris, and zoom rings, hence making it easier to use with various systems such as follow focus, zoom control, and F/I/Z wireless systems. Most of the lenses in the Master Prime series, inclusive of the 21mm, have a consistent 114mm front diameter, enabling the use of equal size matte box adapter, filter, and more.
