ARRI Master Prime 35mm Lens (PL Mount, Ft Measurement)

The ARRI/Zeiss Master Prime 35mm lens is part of a comprehensive set of 16 lenses, renowned for their enhanced resolution and superior contrast capabilities. Additionally, this lens has a minimal breathing effect and an impressive T1.3 aperture which enables capturing images with a shallow depth of field. The Master Prime lenses, ranging from 12mm to 150mm focus lengths, provides the warmth and colour fidelity that Zeiss is known for, and are calibrated for consistent colour performance across the complete set. Each lens includes a nine-blade iris producing a cinematic bokeh effect with pronounced focus fall-off. They provide excellent close-focus performance with negligible breathing effect owing to their Dual floating elements. The optimized T*XP coating diminishes reflection and glare whilst boosting contrast. The ARRI/Zeiss Master Prime lenses are designed with aspheric elements which significantly reduce chromatic aberration, producing images of exceptional quality with clean chroma-keying. The lenses guarantee high corner-to-corner resolution even when used with wide apertures and close focusing. All lenses come with a PL mount and integrated LDS system, which enables seamless transfer of lens metadata to compatible cameras. The focus scale offers ample room for marking and contains luminescent engravings that facilitate easy reading in poorly lit surroundings. The focus ring is labelled in both feet and metric units, and can be switched between the two by a qualified technician. This 35mm Master Prime lens comes with a minimum focus distance of 14" and is relatively light weighing only 4.9 lbs., with a compact length of 8". These lenses maintain constant placement of focus, iris, and zoom rings which aid in easy operation with follow focus, zoom control, and F/I/Z wireless systems. Most of the lenses in the series, including the 35mm Master Prime, have a uniform 114mm front diameter, allowing the same size of matte box adapter, filter, and the like.
