Engineered for contemporary and forthcoming large-sensor high-definition cameras, ARRI's 9.5-18mm T2.9 Ultra Wide Zoom lens furnishes exemplary image quality, ideal for VFX and plate cinematography. It spans a large image circle up to ARRI's Open Gate format at 33.6mm and has the capacity to embrace image circles up to 34.5mm. The fixed entrance pupil position across the zoom range and minimal distortion supports the capture of linear visuals even with proximity focusing down to 21.6 inches. The PL mount integrates an LDS interface to convey essential lens data for VFX shots. Image brightness is consistently preserved to image corners, with negligible focus breathing. The lens coating reduces flare and ghosting while maintaining the fidelity of color reproduction, sharpness, and skin tones in line with other ARRI/Zeiss lenses. The UWZ 9.5-18mm lens also features foot-based focus indicators, an inbuilt support foot, a smooth iris transition mechanism, interchangeable matte box interfaces, and a barrel diameter not exceeding 112mm.
