The Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 is a compact and distinguished lens within the Leica M-mount series, notable for its extendable structure and capability to conduct close-up photography with the separate Macro-Adapter-M. Individual elements have been treated with a multilayer anti-reflective coating to minimize lens flare and ghosting, thereby enhancing contrast and true-to-life color rendition. This manual focus optic allows for engaging with subjects as close as 2.6 feet, facilitating a magnification ratio of 1:6.7. When utilized with the Macro-Adapter-M and a compatible live-view enabled camera, this lens can also yield a minimum focusing distance of 16.1 inches, achieving a magnification ratio of 1:2, all while retaining the ability to focus to infinity.
