Optimized for advanced digital filmmaking, the Venus Optics Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D Lens for Canon EF mount offers an expansive 122° field of view. It is ideal for capturing vast landscapes and tight indoor scenes. The lightweight design of this lens allows for easy handheld shooting and is also suitable for use with gimbals. This cinema lens is capable of producing an image circle that covers full-frame sensors up to VistaVision and ARRI ALEXA LF without distortion. It boasts an advanced optical structure with 16 elements in 10 groups and features a seven-blade diaphragm that contributes to a beautifully soft bokeh with a minimal depth of field. Standard 0.8 pitch gearing on the focus and aperture rings enables compatibility with conventional cine follow focus systems. The front diameter of 102mm is expandable to 114mm with the accompanying step-up adapter, thereby fitting universal matte boxes to reduce lens flare and allow for the application of filters. The lens comes marked in feet, facilitating precision for focus pullers.
