The Sony Digital Mavica MVC-CD1000 is a historic, highly collectible camera—the first Sony Mavica model to replace floppy disks with 8cm CD-R mini-discs. Combined with a massive 10x optical zoom lens and electronic viewfinder, it is an iconic piece of Y2K tech history.

ITEM FUNCTION & CONDITION:

• Cosmetic Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. Body shows light surface scuffs consistent with age, decals/stickers remain intact on the lens barrel (please inspect high-resolution photos).

• COSMETIC IMPERFECTION: There is a hair-line crack in the bottom plastic casing near the corner base (clearly shown in the bottom photo). This is structural to the outer shell only and DOES NOT affect camera mounting or operational performance.

• Functional Condition: Fully tested and 100% operational. The internal CD laser reads/writes smoothly, lens extends/zooms, SteadyShot works, flash fires accurately, and EVF/LCD function properly.

• NO BATTERY, CHARGER, OR MINI-CD INCLUDED: Due to international aviation and postal safety regulations regarding lithium-ion batteries, this camera will ship WITHOUT a battery or charger.

• What You Receive: Includes the CAMERA BODY ONLY, attached neck strap, and front lens cap. You will need a compatible battery (Sony InfoLITHIUM L-Series / NP-F550/F750), a battery charger, and blank 8cm CD-R or CD-RW media.

• Demonstration Only: Photos showing the camera powered on are strictly to demonstrate working functionality.

• NOTE ON DATE/TIME SETTINGS: Like most vintage digital cameras, the internal date-backup capacitor may reset when the battery is removed. You may need to set the date/time when inserting a fresh battery.
