Hi! I'm selling my LOMO 100mm f0.73 Ultra-Fast Industrial Lens.
This is an unlabeled industrial lens. But I can confirm that the specs are very close if not identical to the LOMO 100mm f0.73 X-Ray lens which is a clone of the Carl Zeiss Jean R-Biotar 100mm f0.73 lens shown in this video about recreating the look of Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon candlelight scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p5E7iXxeQE&t=2308s Just to be clear, this is not a native cinema or traditional photographic lens. It was part of an industrial X-Ray imaging machine and so it doesn't have an aperture mechanism or a camera mount and the flange distance is very small so the operator will have to find a creative way to adapt it to their camera whether by modifying the camera itself or using a custom ground-glass system. If you go through the process of adapting this lens, you'll be rewarded with very unique and very rare images.
The lens is in decent condition for its type and age. The barrel shows some scratches and marks. The glass is OK but not great. There are some internal particles, the front glass is relatively well preserved with some marks and specks but the rear element has a some scratches and marks. Overall pretty good. None of these seem to have an effect on the image, probably partly due to the extreme nature of the design.
The lens is also very heavy and bulky so it comes with a custom wooden mount with a 1/4" thread at the bottom to adapt it to a rod system or a tripod.
Cheers :)
